With Rockets needing wins, Alperen Sengun battles through ankle injury
After spraining his right ankle on Jan. 3, the Houston Rockets estimated that All-Star center Alperen Sengun would likely miss about two weeks. Instead, he returned to the lineup within eight days.
The All-Star point guard was hurt when he was dribbling and his ankle appeared to give out and he fell to the court. Brunson went to the locker room and the Knicks said he was questionable to return before later ruling him out for the second half. Brunson had four points in five minutes.
On Monday's WWE Raw, Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer appeared in a walking boot to address her status.
The Knicks visited the Kings in head coach Mike Brown's first game in Sacramento since his firing as Kings head coach in December 2024.
