Four astronauts aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule are slated to splash down early Thursday in the Pacific Ocean, ending a weeklong effort to get an unnamed crew member home to evaluate a medical issue.
NASA astronauts Mike Fincke and Zena Cardman are due to conduct the first spacewalk of 2026 outside the International Space Station. How to watch.
NASA on Wednesday delayed a scheduled spacewalk from the International Space Station (ISS) just hours before two astronauts were due exit the orbiting laboratory. The agency said in a statement that “a medical concern with a crew member that arose Wednesday afternoon” had caused the postponement.
On Thursday, a pair of astronauts will venture outside the space station to prepare for the future installation of roll-out solar arrays that will help power its deorbit in 2030.
New NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said ending the mission a little early is in the best interest of Crew-11. The astronauts — Commander Zena Cardman, pilot Mike Fincke, Japan’s Kimya Yui, and Russia’s Oleg Platonov — will ride SpaceX 's Dragon Endeavour capsule back to Earth within days.
The agency did not give specifics of the medical problem or which astronaut it was, but did say the person was stable. #NASA #InternationalSpaceStation #ISS
