A winter storm could bring heavy snow and dangerously cold temperatures to communities across the United States this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, a winter storm watch and a cold weather advisory for parts of the Indiana Region.

A major winter storm is expected to plow across the country this weekend, delivering a dangerous combination of freezing rain, heavy snow and bitter cold to more than 160 million Americans.

Warnings also indicate that the weather conditions pose a threat to life or property, and that travel will either be difficult or impossible.
