Battle over $645 million in State funding
A judge has considered a request made by House Republicans for a temporary restraining order, and a preliminary injunction that would put a halt to spending what is left of $645 million in State funding.
The order is part of a Dec. 22 lawsuit that claims former Brown & Brown workers and a competitor hatched a plot to execute a "mass employee raid."
A restraining order brought by Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng against a firefighter with the East Bank Consolidated Fire Department for "stalking, public intimidation, and harassment" will stay in place after a judge denied a request to dismiss her case Monday.
