SPRINGFIELD – Illinois State Police special agents are reviewing a case in which a Springfield Police officer shot someone.
Authorities said it occurred after an attempted traffic stop at approximately 5:13 p.m. in the 2400 block of Neil Road.
One person is in custody facing murder and felonious assault charges following a fatal shooting Wednesday morning near east Springfield.
