The glee I felt when the blender turned the cream all sprucey green?? That was real. Very real. If you’ve got spruce tips still available in your neck of the woods, go make this ASAP. If not, you can still try it out with regular spruce needles, but the taste will be a lot stronger and more tannic. As for the bark?
