Tomas et al. (2019) Assessing cellular energy dysfunction in ME/CFS using a commercially available laboratory test. Biomarker research is important because biomarkers—measurable biological indicators of disease—may help diagnose ME/CFS. This is one of several studies that needs replication before any firm conclusions can be made as to its accuracy and to ensure it is specific to ME/CFS.
